USW/US Steel Career Development is a negotiated benefit for Union Employees at USS Midwest.

You receive annually a total of $4,500.  

$2,000 for Customized Courses (classes offered at the Career Development locations)

$2,500 for Tuition Assistance at most “accredited” school.  

You can also combine the 2 great benefits and get a $4,500 benefit for an even greater savings on your degree at an “accredited” school.

New catalogs come out twice a year, Winter/Spring (October) and Summer/Fall (June).   Book are mailed to your house.  If you do not receive one, they are available at the Career Development office.
